The Problem

The current landscape of AI companion solutions suffers from following bottlenecks -

1. ChatGPT Wrappers

Most if not all AI companions available right now are nothing but a chatGPT wrapper with a character.json file to roleplay with the user.

2. Static Visuals

Visual representation of companions is limited to AI-generated still images, creating inconsistent and lifeless interactions that fail to capture genuine expressions and emotional nuances.

3. Lifeless chatbots

The constant availability and purely chat-based interactions reduce these companions to mere response machines, eliminating the natural dynamics that make relationships meaningful.

4. Gross objectification and obscenity

Most companions allow user to get straight into NSFW roleplays and generating pornographic images which stops users from developing any meaningful relationships with the agent.

These are the major problems we want to tackle with GfOS.
